Cnct Intelliplug to provide smart power outlets for cheap

Smart power outlets are one of the first steps to converting your house into a smart home.

They allow you to turn devices on and off remotely, set timers, control your plugs with Alexa voice commands, and even automatically turn off power after fully charging a phone, which saves energy.

Right now, smart plugs run from €17 to €35, making implementing them throughout your residence a costly proposition.

Startup Cnct plans to change that by selling WiFi enabled smart plugs for only €9.

The plugs are currently on offer through Indiegogo, and are expected to ship in August.
