New NGO proposed to deal with Hackers

A number of industry experts including Microsoft are looking to establish a new NGO the 'Global Cyber Attribution Consortium' to deal with the escalating problem of cyber-attacks. The proposed NGO would both investigate and expose perpetrators.

Issues with hacking and cyber-attacks have escalated in recent times from individual hacks to hackers influencing and manipulating elections. The recent WannaCry Ransomware infected over 250,000 users with North Korea reckoned by many to be behind it and Russia has been accused of using cyber-attacks to influence the US presidential elections.
