Irish hip-hop artists fight back against suicide

Sean Murray, the event’s organiser, held the first “Hiphop night for suicide prevention” gig in Limerick city in April.

The event raised money for a local Limerick charity, Corbett Suicide Prevention, which aims to raise awareness of the issue.

Many aspiring artists from across Ireland were present, including Limericks own “Weenz” who gave a personal account of his own loss to suicide. Other artists involved include Indecisive, John Dekay and Will-Z.

We went along to learn little more.

A follow up event is set for June 16.
