Battlefield 1 adds Premium Friends feature

Battlefield 1 developer DICE has added a new feature that allows players to share access to the game’s premium maps with friends who don’t have a Premium Pass.

Battlefield 1 adds Premium Friends feature

The new feature is called Premium Friends and addresses the issue of split multiplayer lobbies due to some players not owning DLC maps.

Speaking about the new feature, producer Andreas Skoglund said:

‘When creating a party in Battlefield 1 you may notice something new: if someone owns a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass the party will become "Premium Enabled". This will allow anyone in that party to play on all maps, regardless if they own the content or not. The access is available as long as the party is "Premium Enabled".’
