WATCH: 'Miracle child' who survived 70 ft fall switches on Limerick's Christmas lights

The family of a two-year-old boy who survived a fall from a sixth storey balcony in Limerick earlier this year say this will be their best Christmas yet.

Neil Shanahan and his family were special guests of Limerick City and County Council. Neil, whith the help of Mayor Kieran O’Hanlon, switch on Limerick's biggest ever Christmas lights display, titled ‘Light Up Limerick’, last night.

"I’m not sure we can possibly have a better Christmas than this," said Neil's mother, Martina.
