When the world woke to the shock of a Donald Trump presidency on Wednesday, fans of The Simpsons will have recalled with a shiver an episode from 16 years ago in which the Grand Oompah Loompa was predicted to have taken the White House. Truth had become stranger and far scarier than fiction.
