Meet the garda that saved Christmas

Ceejay McArdle is four years old and was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2014.

However, this story is not about his illness - it’s about his determination, love of life and love of the Gardaí.

He was driven around his native Monaghan in 2014 by a kind sergeant and his enthusiasm for the Gardaí flourished.

Earlier this year, Ceejay became an honorary garda and was given his very own uniform at a passing out ceremony in Templemore.

Garda Ceejay is officially the most adorable member of the force.

Last weekend, on November 4, Ceejay was called to a very serious incident at the Cartamundi Toy Factory in Waterford.

It was up to him to save Christmas.
