WATCH: Mysterious Celtic Cross pattern discovered by drone in Donegal forest
This mysterious Celtic Cross in a Donegal forest was created by a forester who passed away 6 years ago.
Passengers flying into City of Derry airport began to notice the cross, leading UTV to track down the family of the man who created it.
Forrester Liam Emery died 6 years ago, suffering with a brain injury after a car crash.
He created the cross using larch trees, that turn yellow in the autumn.
“He just loved things to be perfect, and I think the Celtic cross is perfect for him,” Liam’s wife Norma told UTV.
The cross is approximately 100 m long and 70 metres wide.
