Burnout creators working on new driving game

Three Fields Entertainment, which is largely made up of former Criterion staff, has started work on the spiritual successor to Burnout 3 that it teased last year.

Creative director Alex Ward previously said that the new racing game “will be VERY fast.” In other welcome news for Burnout fans, Burnout 3’s announcer Ted Stryker will lend his dulcet tones to the upcoming game.

Little else is known about this mysterious racing game at this point in time. The Burnout references have been constant though, as it was referred to as “Shiny Red Something,” a reference to Burnout’s original codename of “Shiny Red Car.”

Three Fields Entertainment is yet to reveal when it will be released.

This will be Three Fields’ second release, following the release of Dangerous Golf this summer.
