xXx 3 trailer- a throwback to a sillier time

We're assuming that the xXx series was never meant to be taken seriously, so the first trailer for the new film keeps on getting sillier.

Vin Diesel is definitely excited, but when isn't he?

Actually this looks like an unselfconscious piece of action fun, which might be a nice antidote to the serious blockbuster cinema of recent times. Of course the first two films in the series were pretty mediocre when it comes to action but maybe the addition of better special effects and a new director in DJ Caruso will make all the difference.

Or maybe its time for the 49 year old Vin to take on some roles which are built for his age group. He'll be on screen here with a returning Samuel L. Jackson as well as Toni Collette (slumming it), Donne Yen, Tony Jaa and Ruby Rose.
