WATCH: Stealthy seagull steals £20 in takings from ferry’s moneybox

A UK ferry company has released bizarre footage of a seagull stealing £20 in coins from the day’s takings.

The Greenway Ferry is based near Brixham and operates on the River Dart. The week before last they spotted something unusual on their CCTV after £20 in coins went missing from their cash box.

While watching the footage you can see a seagull swoop and then case his surroundings.

After hopping around for a few seconds the seagull spots its target and proceeds to plunder a bag of 20 £1 coins.

The owners of the ferry were eventually able to recover the £20 after the seagull dropped the coins, presumably deeming them to be inedible.
