Beachgoers in Florida witnessed a distressing incident on Monday evening as a man was reportedly forced to jump 150 feet to the ground from his out-of-control paraglider.

Local man Andrew Volde captured it all on video after a reported mechanical failure left Damian Leroy’s paraglider with little choice but to jump to the ground in Jupiter, Florida.

Onlookers have said that had the 34-year-old paraglider had to jump or else he would have slammed into nearby trees at high speed.
