Weekend loves: This week’s must do, see & buy

They’ve launched ‘Food: From the Isle’, a series of tastings, talks, workshops and pop-up residencies from Ireland’s food creatives.

Our highlight? Stone Ground Donuts.

Artisan donuts made to order with organic eggs and flour, with toppings from Irish suppliers such as jams from Big Red Kitchen and Irish Atlantic Sea Salt caramel – served hot from the back of a bespoke three-wheeler Piaggio Ape van.

We sampled them last week and they’re worth the drive to Kildare.

Executive pastry chef at The Westbury, Tatjana Upelniece-Kiselova looked to five of NCAD’s third and fourth year students.

For example, a fiery red ensemble, Colour, created by Zoe Redmond, influenced Tatjana to create a cherry macaroon with smooth velvet, mocha cream.

Available for €47 per person, €59 per person with Moët & Chandon or Moët & Chandon Rosé and €80 for Dom Pérignon Champagne Afternoon Tea.
