A group of 3rd, 4th and 5th class pupils from CBS Primary Mitchelstown in Cork have won the overall junior prize in the MindRising competition and a €5000 digital refresh for their school.

MindRising is a Minecraft competition for schools and young people in the island if Ireland and this was its first year running.

The CBS Primary students used Minecraft to create a video titled '1916: A Minecraft Music Medley' which tells the story of the 1916 Rising and focuses on Joseph Plunkett and Grace Gifford.
