Basking shark delights water activity instructors in Ardmore

The instructors in Ardmore Adventures were lucky enough to enjoy their water activities with the basking sharks that were around last week.

They look like they’re having an absolute ball.

Ardmore Adventures is located next to the beach in the stunning and picturesque Ardmore bay in Waterford.

The basking shark is the largest fish in the Northern Atlantic and the second largest in the world.

It’s maximum size is thought to be ten metres long.

Until recent years, the basking shark was a target fishery of International importance in the North-east Atlantic, particularly for Norwegian, Scottish and Irish based fisheries.
