VIDEO: New Star Trek series gets a teaser

Star Trek is coming back to the small screen in 2017, which is very exciting news indeed.

The TV iteration of the long running frachise has been dead since Enterprise was canned all the way back in 2005. Even the movies took a break at that time, with a long process of rebuilding starting with 2009s' reboot.

Here's the first teaser for CBS' Star Trek.

Ok so there isn't a lot to go on there but it does promises all sorts of new things. The only potential bad news is that the show is mostly being created for CBS All Access which is an online only service, and we don't quite know how legal access will work outside of the US.

That aside, it's a good time to be a Trek fan again, with Star Trek Beyond in cinemas this month and this show set to arrive in early 2017. Let's just hope it's not terrible!
