This poignant video highlights difficulties young people face when grieving

’Where We Last Spoke’ is a short film directed by Liam Lynch for a video production project at Institute of Technology Tallaght.

Robbie, played by Freddie McKinley, is the main protagonist and he is struggling to cope with loss.

His story highlights the difficulties that young people face when grieving, set against a poignant Dublin backdrop.

He repeatedly phones Lindsey throughout the film, and leaves her messages that we know are never going to be answered.

It’s absolutely heart-breaking as he asks her to meet him "where we last spoke".

Brendan tells him: "You can’t keep blaming yourself for all this."

Robbie replies: "Why?"

The viewer is left in the grip of Robbie’s overwhelming helplessness as he tries to understand life without Lindsey.
