Take a trip back to Euro 88 with the fans who paved the way for the Green Army
Fans have their travel plans down to a tee after many years of supporting the Boys In Green abroad.
Back in 1988, it was very different. The Republic of Ireland had never qualified for a tournament before and the fans that travelled to Germany to see Ray Houghton stun the English with a beautiful header were trailblazers.
They packed into min-vans, ferries and all sorts of transport to make their way to mainland Europe.
Here, Ford Ireland pays tribute to those people who paved the way for the rest of us and helped establish the excellent reputation of Irish soccer fans around the globe.
So, take a trip back to Euro '88 and enjoy a dose of soccer nostalgia with Eamon Dunphy, Packie Bonner and the lads who inspired Christy Moore's Joxer.
