Periscope streamers can now save their broadcasts
Previously, broadcasts disappeared after 24 hours. However, thanks to a change in policy last night, adding #save in the title lets you keep the video unless you choose to delete it yourself later.
The feature is now available to all Periscope users as part of a public beta test. Periscope CEO Kayvon Beykpour said that the service is trying to provide support so that users can control how long their broadcasts stay live. This also means that those who want their broadcasts deleted, even within the previous 24-hour lifespan, can do just that.
It's too late for the classic livestream of people trying to get around a giant puddle in Newcastle, which was watched by more than 20,000 people, but we're sure more golden moments like this will happen.
