This footage shows off the spectacular Mare’s Tail waterfall in Cork

Footage sent into irishexaminer.com by John Eagle gives a stunning birds eye view of the waterfall in the Beara Peninsula, near Adrigole, Co. Cork.

The video shows the lead up to the Mare's Tail Waterfall and then the incredible waterfall itself, which is said to be the highest in Ireland.

The waterfall was featured in the Neil Jordan film Byzantium, and the footage also shows the scenic lake at the very top of the Mare’s Tail.

We think we might have to head out to the Beara Peninsula over the weekend!
