Disgraced footballer Adam Johnson removed from PES and Football Manager
The ex-Sunderland footballer faces a jail term after being found guilty of sexual activity with a girl aged 15.
Konami said that he is to be removed from online modes next week and will be deleted from PES 2016 completely as part of the March squads update. Sega, meanwhile, has already deleted him from Football Manager 2016.
EA released an update last month to remove him from FIFA 16, but found that it wasn’t possible to remove him from everyone’s version of the game. "We released a team update last month to remove Adam Johnson; however due to technical issues it is not possible to delete him from everyone's version," an EA spokesperson said.
Some online commenters have pondered whether a character bearing his name will crop up in Prison Architect.
