People are handing out fat-shaming cards on the London Tube
The card is apparently from an organisation calling themselves Overweight Haters Ltd and while it’s unclear whether they’re a hoax or a real group that went to the trouble of printing (misspelled) fat-shaming cards, there have been more than one sighting of their efforts to insult strangers.

Only one photo of the card has turned up on social media so far, but this guy on Twitter described seeing a very similar encounter two days later.
After posting on Twitter, Sean was made aware of Kara’s tweet and confirmed it was the same card.
Kara took to her Facebook to address the incident which she called "hateful and cowardly":
"I am not upset myself, I am smaller than the national average and not exactly obese, but this is hateful and cowardly and could potentially upset people struggling with confidence and eating disorders.
"Please tweet and share this if you are also outraged. Plus - to the person who wrote this card, go back to school, you can’t spell beautiful."
And Twitter has jumped to their defence.
@kflorish I hope this brings a smile to your face. Be smug in the knowledge you're a kind and decent human being x pic.twitter.com/Jhv0HqSA3p

2FM’s Louise Mcsharry also had this to say about the wide acceptance of fat-shaming.
also have at the very least a deep-seated prejudice against fat people. How could you not in the world we live in?

People feel entitled to abuse fat people because 'health'. Funny how fat is the only health issue many people are concerned with.

At the end of the day, my body is none of your business, your body is none of mine. End of story.

Apart from one or two internet trolls saying she deserves to be called fat, all of the people tweeting Kara seem to be being supportive.
But there are also some people actually hoping this will all turn out to be false…
Still hoping Overweight Haters Ltd is an elaborate hoax. Perhaps we think too much of people.

Whatever happens, this is undoubtedly the most appropriate reaction.
