WATCH: This Japanese make-up ad has a genius twist

This clever ad from Japanese cosmetics brand Shiseido caught our eye this morning.

Called ’High School Girl?’, it shows a group of stylish teenage schoolgirls hanging around a classroom while the camera artistically pans around the room.

But all is not as it seems.

Did you see that coming?

The twist comes as the camera zooms in on a book and the caption reads "Did you realize that there are boys in this classroom?"

And the ad ends with the tagline "Anyone can be cute."

So there you go now. You’ve had your perception of make-up and gender challenged and it’s not even lunchtime.
