VIDEO: Apple to sponsor 2016 Met Gala

Every year the famed New York City museum hosts a themed Met Gala, which ushers in a respective new art and costume exhibit and welcomes dozens of celebrities to celebrate it.

Last year’s theme was "China: Through the Looking Glass." Next year, fashion and technology will collide.

The two sectors seem to be converging at lightning speed as of late. And to consummate the marriage, the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced that the union would be the theme of next year’s Met Gala.
