Woman finds winning lottery ticket four months after draw

It took one Michigan woman four months to discover she had become a millionaire.

Linda Tuttle had forgotten about her winning lottery ticket which she had purchased at her local shop until four months later the cashier mentioned a winning ticket had been bought in the store and not claimed.

It was only then that Ms Tuttle had a root around for that ticket she had bought back in May and was amazed to find the million dollar ticket mixed up in her mail.

Linda Tuttle was the May Mega Millions winner of the Michigan lottery.

The recent millionaire has said she plans on travelling to China with her new-found fortune, as well as refurbishing her home and getting a new car.
