WATCH: Benedict Cumberbatch stars in an appeal video for refugee aid
home is the mouth of a shark
you only run for the border
when you see the whole city running as well...
you have to understand,
that no one puts their children in a boat
unless the water is safer than the land’.

The Sherlock actor is seen to address the refugees after the poem telling them "we see you, we hear you and help is coming".
The video release is in conjunction with the launch of a charity single "Help is coming" by Crowded House which hopes to raise much-needed funds for food, water, medicine, shelter and psychological support for refugee children.
At the moment there are 4 million Syrian refugees fleeing their home, the highest number of refugees since World War II.
