Russia banned the promotion of 'non-traditional sexual relationships' to minors in June 2013, which makes it effectively illegal to speak in favour of LGBT rights, hold pride events or even say that LGBT relationships are the same as heterosexual ones. People who contravene this law will face heavy fines.

To test the perception of gay relationships in the country, two guys decided to hold hands while walking around the Russian capital with a hidden camera.
