Barry’s Tea send care package to Irish J1 students in Berkeley

Barry’s Tea has shown its support for Irish students in Berkeley who have been emotionally affected by the recent balcony collapse in which six young people died.

The tea company has sent a thoughtful care package to a number of students, including Grainne Kennedy‎, a science student at NUI Galway who is spending her summer in Berkeley on a J1.

Grainne has thanked the brand on Facebook for the gift of 480 tea bags, which were sent to her after one of the group's mothers contacted Barry's.

The students had used up their entire summer's allowance of tea from home in the days following the Berkeley tragedy in which six young people, including five 21-year-old students from Dublin, died.
