VIDEO: House kitty scares off prowling black bear

This viral video is a nice little tale of David and Goliath.

In Alaska on Sunday, Darlis Elliott found a bear prowling at the back of her home - leaving it up to her cat Nani to repel the invader.

The tiny kitty pounces with such speed the surprised bear jumps back - and falls right off the porch.

The lesson here is that housecats are, in fact, an excellent home security addition. Earlier this week, a similar video showing his friends' cat staring down a mountain lion outside the door.

Who needs a guard dog? Well, so long as you also have a thick plate of glass in front of your cat, at least.
