Historic Galway castle gets its own marriage equality mural

The eye-grabbing marriage equality mural on George’s Street now has a companion west of the Shannon, after a restored historic castle received a facelift a few days before the referendum.

Caher Castle in Caherkinmonwee is owned by Peter Hayes. He rents it out on AirBnB, where he describes himself as "an eccentric stonemason, father, and proud castle owner."
