McKellen steps in to marriage equality debate

Ian McKellen has stepped into the marriage equality debate, by encouraging "friends in Ireland" to vote yes in the May 22 referendum.

In a tweet last night, McKellen urged votes to "make your country first ever to legalise marriage equality by popular vote".
