Cate Blanchett loses her perfect poise in an interview
Australia’s Channel Ten reporter Jonathan Hyla, from The Project TV show, asked the 45-year-old actress a series of inane questions finishing off with how she managed to get her character’s cat to follow her around on a leash in new movie Cinderella.
Cate, 45, was visibly annoyed and asked: “That’s your question!? That’s your f***ing question?!” She looked in exasperation at the people sitting out of shot behind her, who can be heard laughing.
She then cut the interview short, telling Hyla, “Nice to meet you”.
has revealed he has the best car pool for his new job in the US — his passenger is none other than who sings along with him during the journey.
In the comedy sketch for his new role as host of The Late Late Show, James is seen driving a car to the studio and telling a mystery passenger: “Thanks for helping me out with my journey to work, it’s just the traffic is so bad that it’s a nightmare if I don’t have someone with me.”
The camera then pans to superstar Mariah sitting alongside him, wearing large sunglasses and a single fingerless glove.
Car mates James and Mariah bump fists about his new job before he switches the radio on to find that it is playing Mariah’s hit Always Be My Baby.
At first, she is reluctant to sing along, protesting: “I’m not singing today, I was up all night”, but is unable to resist warbling along to the opening lyrics before letting a note-perfect James take centre stage.
has about “a hundred” records just sitting around waiting to be released, according to producer The-Dream.
He has worked with her in the past on hit albums including 2011’s 4, and when asked by Genius.com to write a few words to go with the album’s track End Of Time, he made the surprising revelation.
Talking about the Broadway musical inspired by late Nigerian Afrobeat rocker Fela Kuti, The-Dream wrote: “We did a whole Fela album that didn’t go up. It was right before we did 4. We did a whole different sounding thing, about 20 songs. She said she wanted to do something that sounds like Fela. That’s why there’s so much of that sound in the End Of Time. “There’s always multiple albums being made. Most of the time we’re just being creative, period. We’re talking about B, somebody who sings all day long and somebody who writes all day long. There’s probably a hundred records just sitting around.”
was apparently left in the lurch by when the singer dropped out of appearing on Chatty Man just before filming was due to start.
The comedian hosts the Channel 4 chat show, which former Smiths frontman Morrissey had been booked as a guest for, but was said to be gutted to get a last-minute cancellation from the singer.

Morrissey said that he was stuck in Northern Ireland because of “transport issues” after performing in Belfast, leaving Alan, who had been over to see the show on Tuesday, short of an interviewee just hours before filming should have begun. However, producers managed to draft in Celebrity Squares host to fill his spot on the sofa.
