We Irish are not big fans of the way our culture is portrayed across the world, especially around our national holiday, and Conan O’Brien has decided to do something about that...sorta.

As many know, Conan is very proud of his Irish-American roots and is getting tired of the Irish being portrayed poorly in the eyes of the world on St Patrick's Day.

"I'm often saddened at the way Irish culture is depicted on St Patrick's Day, every single year.

"That's why - I guarantee - on my show tonight you will not see any offensive Irish stereotypes exploited for cheap and easy laughs.

"Isn't that right, angry drunken leprechaun with his head stuck in a potato?"

We can't help but think there might be something wrong with this message.
