SNAP APPY: Irish charity Anam Cara is asking people to share a special picture with their mum this Mother’s Day using the hashtag #MammyandMe on social media, and nominate three friends or family members to do the same.

Anam Cara is a voluntary organisation set up by bereaved parents which provides support services to families who have experienced the death of a child and social media users are being asked to donate €2 to the charity by texting REMEMBER to 50300. For more information visit www.anamcara.ie

GOING GREEN: Promising four days of family fun, Cork St Patrick’s Festival 2015 runs from March 14 to 17 throughout the city centre. This year’s festival starts with free family entertainment including music, street theatre and the Festival Market in Patrick’s Street from 10am to 6pm tomorrow and Sunday.

The market and music moves to the Grand Parade on Tuesday and the parade will begin at 1pm on South Mall, with up to 3,000 participants expected. More details are available at www.corkstpatricksfestival.ie
