Little boy’s ’Chocolate Bar’ book raises $1 million for rare liver disorder

Back in 2012, inspired by his best friend Jonah Pournazarian, he decided to write a book to help raise funds for research into a rare liver disease that makes sufferers unable to regulate their blood sugar levels. Glycogen storage disease type 1B is incurable and Jonah, 9, is one of only 500 children in the old with the disease.

Dylan, 8, wrote the book himself and started selling it for $20 (€16). Now, thanks to sales in over 60 countries, the book has netted $1 million (€802,325) as of this week.
