Wide variety of Irish art and antiques at Dolan’s sale

Limerick artists Henry Morgan, Tom Greaney and Jack Donovan all feature at Dolan’s sale of 249 lots of art and antiques at Castletroy Park Hotel on Sunday, November 9, at 2pm.

The sale offers a wide variety of Irish art. There are west of Ireland landscapes by Robert Egginton and Frank Egginton, a woodcut by Harry Kernoff, streetscapes by Norman Teeling, market and fair scenes by Arthur Maderson and Kenneth Webb. There is a selection of work by artists as diverse as Markey Robinson, Charles Harper, Manus Walsh, John Morris and many more.

An antique Dublin long case clock by John Dalrymple c1770 is estimated at €1,500-€2,500, a gilt wood over mantle mirror has an estimate of €600-€1,000 and an ornate Japanese bronze vase is estimated at €300-€500. There is some antique furniture and porcelain, a couple of lots of silverware and even some vintage Silver Cross prams.

The sale is on view from 12.30pm to 8pm next Friday, from 10am to 8pm on this day week and 10am to 2pm on the day of the auction.
