11-bar chairs on the table at Woodwards

Des O’Sullivan says collectible set is one of the highlights of sale.

A set of eight inlaid Cork 11-bar chairs and paintings by Norah McGuinness, Arthur Maderson and Kenneth Webb are among the highlights at Woodward’s sale in Cork next Wednesday, October 22, at 6pm. The chairs are estimated at €3,500-€5,000 and the artworks at €3,000-€4,000 and €2,000-€3,000.

Other furniture on offer includes a Victorian walnut davenport (€500-€800); a circular table with birdcage movement (€200-€300); an Edwardian walnut bookcase €400-€600); an Edwardian card table €800-€1,200); a Regency sofa table (€400-€600); a Georgian mahogany chest on chest (€750-€1,000) and a Victorian chest of drawers (€200-€400) as well as Waterford Crystal.
