Balotelli tweet leads to racial abuse

Balotelli was subject to a number a racist responses to the tweet, many using the term 'monkey' and other racial slurs referring to the Liverpool striker.
A number of the Twitter accounts have since been closed down and Merseyside Police are investigating the incident.
This is not the first time Balotelli has been embroiled in a racism conflict.
Before the 2014 World Cup he endured racist comments from Italian fans where he was heckled at a training camp.
Throughout his time in Italy, the striker was on the end of racial abuse, while playing for both AC and Inter Milan.
While playing for AC Milan in 2013, Balotelli and team mate Kevin-Prince Boateng had racial chants directed at them from AS Roma fans.
Balotelli has previously stated that he will walk off the pitch if he hears racist chants from fans aimed at him agian.
The anti-racism campaign associated with the Premier League, Kick It Out, have offered support to Balotelli and have said they will be reporting the incident to the authorities.
