10 reasons Jennifer Lawrence and Gywneth Paltrow aren't as different as they seem
The Coldplay front man is reportedly smitten with Jennifer because she is the polar opposite of his macrobiotic-eating ex-wife and sources told The Sun that The Hunger Games actress has given Chris a new lease of life.
We can totally see why Chris Martin has opted for the fun-loving, pizza-munching 24-year-old but despite the apparent differences between his ex and his new partner, maybe Jennifer Lawrence and Gwyneth Paltrow aren’t quite as chalk and cheese as it seems..
1. They’re both award-winning actresses
Gwyneth has racked up an Oscar, a Golden Globe and an Emmy, as well as a couple other awards in her time. J Law is as successful when it comes to the little statues of achievement and has managed to bag herself one Oscar, two Golden Globes and a BAFTA as well as others.
2. They’re both blonde
Despite appearing in two of her top-hits as a sultry brunette, J Law is actually a natural blonde. Just like Gwyneth who also turned to the dark side temporarily for her role in Sliding Doors.
3. They’ve both dated ridiculously good-looking men
Jennifer Lawrence has just split up with Brit hunk Nicholas Hoult after three years and let’s not forget Gwyneth once dated Ben Affleck and was at some point engaged to Brad Pitt.
4. They’re both involved in charity work
The Shakespeare in Love actress is currently on the board of the Robin Hood Foundation and has also worked with UNICEF and Prince’s Trust. Jennifer works with charities such as The Thirst Project and Feeding America in addition to being an ambassador for the Special Olympics.
5. They’re both the face of high-fashion lines
Before being cast as the much-loved Katniss Everdeen, The Hunger Games’ actress dabbled in modelling, once posing for likes of Abercrombie & Fitch and H&M before landing the honour of becoming face of Dior. Similarly, Gwyneth tried her hand at modelling for Calvin Klein, among others, and has been the face of Estee Lauder since 2005.
6. They both love Britain
Gwyneth apparently loves the English way of life and after claiming she worried about bringing up her child in America, relocated to London and bought Kate Winslet’s Belsize Park home. Jennifer too has a not-so-secret love for all things British, professing her love for our charming men, casual fashion sense, perfect fish and chips and amazing TV.
7. They’ve both been named ‘Most Beautiful Woman’
The Shallow Hal star was named the Most Beautiful Woman by People magazine last year while the Silver Linings Playbook actress ranked number one on the FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World.
8. They’ve both starred in Marvel Comic film adaptations
Jennifer slathered on the blue paint for her role as Mystique in the X-Men series meeting her now-ex beau Nicholas Hoult on set whilst Gywnnie played Pepper Potts in the Iron Man trilogy alongside real-life BFF Robert Downey Jr.
9. They’ve both got an array of A List friends
From Madonna to Beyonce to Cameron Diaz, there’s barely anyone in Hollywood that Gwyneth has not rubbed noses with. Similarly, J Law spends her time hanging out with the likes of Zoe Kravitz, Bradley Cooper and Liam Hemsworth.
10. They both lost out on huge roles
While Jennifer auditioned for the role of Bella Swan in the Twilight films but lost out to Kristen Stewart, Gwyneth had also chased after the chance to play the leading woman in Titanic but the role was given to Kate Winslet.
