MUSIC NEWS: We mentioned the rumours last week and it has now been confirmed Bruce Springsteen is to release an album on Jan 10. Entitled High Hopes, it will be a mixture of cover versions and a number of original songs he had played live but never committed to record.

Meanwhile, Christine McVie surprised Fleetwood Mac fans when she joined her former band on stage at the O2 in London and has now revealed that she’d be open to joining with them again if the opportunity arose. Morrissey is to release his Lou Reed tribute, a live version of ‘Satellite Of Love’ on a number of formats, alongside some of his own material. Kanye West is also on the release trail, with plans for a follow-up album to Yeezus out by next summer. On the home front, Cian Ó Cíobháin has released the sixth compilation of music from his superb Raidio na Gaeltachta show, An Taobh Tuathail. ATT Volume 6 is a typically eclectic mix featuring everything from Irish techno to leftfield Icelandic sounds.
