TEN thousand people die of heart-related disease in Ireland every year. To tackle this, the Irish Heart Foundation has launched its September ‘Heart Month’ campaign, offering free blood pressure checks.

Don Morgan says if his father, Dermot Morgan, the comedian, who died 14 years ago of a heart attack at the age of 45, had access to such a service he might be alive today.
