Arts Life - Brian Cronin

Favourite café:

I have favourite pubs, not cafés.

Current listening:

Just discovering the old Tom Waits album Rain Dogs.

The last gig I attended:

The last memorable one was Bonnie Prince Billy at the Opera House.

The last book I read: Ablutions by Patrick deWitt.

My last trip to the theatre:

Bill Griffin’s play Betrayal at the Wandesford Quay Gallery

The last exhibition I attended:

David Hockney at the Royal Academy in London.

My favourite film:

I’ll say The Killing of a Chinese Bookie.

My favourite writer/artist/musician:

My brain can’t process an answer to that question.

My favourite work of art:

The Brown Cloud by my friend Brian McElroy, he’s very shy about his work, only a handful of people have seen this piece but it’s incredible.

My favourite venue:

Charlie’s Bar in Cork.

The writer/artist/musician I would most like to meet:

I’d kill three birds with one stone and meet David Lynch.
