At this time of year citrus fruits really come into their own, they are most likely sourced from Spain or Italy rather than farther afield. The citrus trees bear fruit in southern Europe and on the coasts of the Mediterranean the winter months.

I love the sweet taste of mandarins, satsumas, tangerines or clementines. The list is confusing and many of the tastes overlap. I have always gravitated towards clementines when baking in the winter.
