Cider of the week: Stonewell Rós Apple & Rhubarb Cider, 5.5% ABV, 330ml - €3.20

Stonewell is easily the most creative of our cider producers and this is another winner.

Made from a fusion of rhubarb and eating apples all sourced in Munster — the rhubarb is from Robbie Fitzimmons Farm of East Ferry in Co Cork. Rhubarb juice is quite acidic so this can’t have been an easy ferment.

Rós pours a very pretty pale pink colour and has distinct creamy fresh rhubarb aromas.

There are some soft apple flavours on the front palate followed by a huge hit of rhubarb and custard and a delightful red fruit and rhubarb freshness on the finish.

This was produced in very small quantities so snap it up quick.
