28ac Kerry farm guiding over €17k/acre for online auction
Part of the lands and river boundary of the 28-acre farm for auction at Cleady, Kenmare, Co Kerry.
Big interest is building for an online auction to take place on Wednesday September 16.
The property going under the hammer is a 28-acre quality land parcel near Kenmare, Co Kerry. The first lot of a two-lot auction (the second consisting of a house with 0.77a curtilage), the property will receive bids from pre-registered bidders via the auctioneer’s website — DNG Timothy O’Sullivan of Kenmare.
“There’s very strong interest in this property,” says selling agent Tadhg O’Sullivan. “Any time a large parcel of good land comes on the market here in South Kerry, there’s always strong interest in it and this is one of the finest parcels of land available here in a very long time.”
The holding is at Cleady, just 5km from Kenmare on the road to Kilgarvan. The Kilgarvan-Kenmare road offers extensive road frontage and the free-draining property is bounded by the Cleady River on one side and the Roughty River on the other.
“It has a very convenient location and very easy to operate for anyone who takes it on — be it someone with an existing farming enterprise or a hobby farmer or other. It’s open to a wide range of people,” Mr O'Sullivan said.
The sources of interest are very varied, the agent says, with enquiries from home and abroad.
The AMV is €480,000 (€17,100/acre).
