112ac farm near Limerick City for September auction
Marked aerial view of Ardmore House, Drombanna, Co. Limerick.
Coming up for auction on Wednesday, September 9 next at the Kilmurry Lodge Hotel in Castletroy, County Limerick, is a 112-acre farm close to Limerick City.
Described by selling agent Tom Crosse of GVM as a “truly top class farm”, the property has a number of aspects going for it (as well as quality lands) and is being presented in lots.
“It’s all good land and it’s in a very strong location close to the city,” says Tom. “There’s a lot of road frontage with the holding as well.”
Lot 1 contains 47 acres, including farmhouse and out-offices. The farmhouse is in need of work but it’s described by the agents as bright and spacious with extensive accommodation. The out-offices and loose sheds are a useful addition. (Guide Price: €950,000)

Lot 2 is 65 acres and is physically divided by the Commons Road, which connects to the Old Ballysimon Road (R512). (Guide Price: €1,000,000)
Lot 3 is the entire 112-acre holding. (Guide Price: €1,950,000 or €17,400/acre)
The farm’s proximity to Limerick City makes it very accessible but being that close to the urban centre isn’t always the attraction it might seem to be – depending on the farmer/investor in question.
In any case, there’s a good level of interest being shown so far, according to the selling agents.
