Prime West Cork grassland parcel guiding at €15-€20k/acre
The 16-acre farm adjoins the main Clonakilty-Dunmanway road and has extensive road frontage.
Another small parcel of quality pasture in the rich grasslands of West Cork is new to the market with Clonakilty-based auctioneers Hodnett Forde Property Services.
The holding is at Coolnaconarty, close to Rossmore and near the Clonakilty-Dunmanway main road, close to Kilmeen Creamery.
“It’s a nice roadside holding,” says selling agent John Hodnett. “It’s adjoining the main Clonakilty-Dunmanway road and it has extensive road frontage.
“The lands are all in pasture, with approximately five acres of them re-seeded recently. There are top-quality facilities, including a cattle crush and holding pen. There’s a mains water connection and electricity.”
The farm is in an attractive south-facing position too, John says, adding that the holding has been farmed to a high standard over the years.
“It’s an outside holding operating as a grazing platform in the past — it has everything, ready for the next owner to take over.”
According to the selling agent, the level of interest so far has been good, with numerous enquiries so far.
The guide of between €15,000 and €20,000/acre is reflective of recent sales in the area and the enduring attraction of grassland in these dairying-dominated parts.
