New to the market with Clonakilty-based auctioneer Kieran O’Gorman is a 34.5-acre farm in the townland of Cruary West.
The property is located only a couple of kilometres from Ring village and is adjacent to Darrara National School.
“There’s very strong local interest in it,” said Mr O'Gorman of the property, which is all in tillage at the moment. “It’s in the heart of dairying country and there’s interest from outside of the dairying community as well – business people in particular.
“But the quality of the land here is just exceptional. It’s pure tillage land and it’s exceptionally good. It’s also a very convenient piece of land — there’s plenty of road frontage and there are plenty of access points. I think that it will suit an awful lot of people; from those with an outside farm, for example, to dairy farms nearby who are looking to expand their holding.”
The price guide is being set at €15,000 to €16,000 /acre but this kind of land in this location has been capable of achieving above and beyond that level. Time will tell over the coming weeks and months.
