69-acre farm 15 minutes drive from Cork City expected to reach €20k/acre
The holding has extensive road frontage onto two roads.
New to the market with Clonakilty-based auctioneers Hodnett Forde Property Services is a 68.7-acre farm near Innishannon, County Cork.
The property is in the townland of Coolcullitha, 4km northeast of the village of Innishannon and 11km from Bandon. With Cork city a 15-minute commute, it’s well placed to attract strong interest from farming and non-farming sources.
According to selling agent Ernest Forde, the property consists of top-quality level lands, laid out in one block.
“The holding has extensive road frontage onto two roads,” says Ernest of the farm, presented in separate lots.

Lot A consists of the entire 68.7-acre holding, with old traditional residence and outbuildings; Lot B consists of 41 acres; Lot C is 24.5 acres with farm buildings; Lot D consists of the residence and stone outbuildings on 3.25 acres.
“It’s an executor sale,” says Ernest. “The enquiries have been good so far… It’s early days yet, but it could be sold in separate lots — there’s a good bit of interest in the house its own, for example, due to its location. But it will be sold whichever way makes the most money.”
A quality land parcel close to Cork City such as this one tends to hit peak demand and Ernest expects that the price guide of €15-€20,000/acre will end up much closer to €20,000.
