It might now be 30 years on since the Eurovision circus came to town, but ‘Fame’ was once again the talking point at the Green Glens Arena as Eedy Doorman Fame, a powerful homebred cow with Holstein royalty in her blood, dominated the National Dairy Show.

For exhibitor Jason Helen, it was a special victory in more ways than one. Not only was this year’s Irish Examiner supreme champion homebred, but she is also the daughter of the very first calf that he bought to celebrate a special birthday.
